Tour Itinerary

Day 1 Phuket

We begin our 9 Day sailing adventure in the vibrant Phuket, Thailand.   Arrive at leisure, and check into your accommodation, the Nai Yang Beach Resort and Spa, which is located in the middle of the Sirinat National Park and is within walking distance of the beach and if you arrive early and wish to visit Patong Beach or Phuket Town, it is only a 35 minutes taxi ride away. If you have enough time why not take advantage of some of the excellent beaches and restaurants, hotels, bars and shopping Phuket has to offer.  Remember that you will have an early start tomorrow morning so please regularly check the hotel noticeboard for information about your transfer - this can be altered at short notice.

Day 2 Thay Yae Island

This morning we transfer to Ranong and board your home for the next week: a superior 46-foot catamaran.  Waving goodbye to Phuket we set sail for Myauk Ni Island, one of over 800 islands in the isolated Myeik Archipelago.  Here the adventure begins as we drop anchor and explore the island’s southern beach, try our hand at sea kayaking or snorkelling, or wander through the dense rainforest interior- it is your adventure!

Day 3-7 Palua Bada

It is a hard life, but someone has to do it, as we fill the next five days with great snorkelling, lazy sailing, stretching out on untouched, white-sand beaches and gentle exploration of the islands. You will be amazed at the pristine coral reef and the marine life still shy to visitors, so be prepared to be blinded by an array of colours and stunned by the large schools of fish swimming alongside you in the clear-blue waters.  If the weather permits, go tribal and build a campfire to hang out by over dinner, otherwise try the delicious Burmese cuisine, such as mohinga (noodle soup), gyin thohk (ginger salad) and fresh island fruits.

One of the biggest highlights of the trip, is the chance to spend time with the Moken, or ‘sea gypsies’ – a nomadic tribe who live their lives roaming the sea, you will be one of only a few in the world you get this opportunity. Admire their ingenuity, with their handcrafted wooden boats not only used to fish, but also serves as their family homes. You are sure to be inspired by the Moken, and leave with a new found respect.

Day 8 Ranong

This morning we wake early and enjoy the sun rise over the Andaman Sea before farewelling the fantastic crew, and taking a long tail boat back to Ranong. Then make the journey back to Phuket and enjoy the comforts of your hotel accommodation.

Day 9 Phuket

Today enjoy a bit of a sleep in, as there are no activities planned today.  Your 9 Day Myanmar sailing adventure ends on check out of the hotel, but you will be left with a lifetime of memories and new friends who shared this amazing journey with you.

Please note:  The beauty of sailing is that each day is unique and, while we have a destination to reach, if the weather changes or something takes the group’s fancy, we are flexible on the day's itinerary.  The Itinerary above may be subject to change depending on weather or berth availability. Your skipper will make the final call to ensure your safety at all times.
